Summary
Delivered scalable vehicle sensor data APIs and backend microservices for connected cars.
What I Built
Project Overview
As part of a cloud engineering team, I contributed to the development of a connected vehicle platform responsible for collecting, processing, and exposing telemetry data from vehicles operating worldwide.
The platform enabled vehicle applications, analytics systems, and customer-facing services to access real-time and historical vehicle information through scalable APIs and event-driven data pipelines. The system processed large volumes of sensor data while maintaining high availability, operational reliability, and global scalability.
My responsibilities included backend service development, API design, cloud infrastructure automation, Kubernetes operations, CI/CD enablement, and production support for mission-critical automotive services.
Key Features
Connected Vehicle Telemetry
Collected and processed vehicle sensor data from connected vehicles operating across multiple regions.
Unified Data Access Layer
Developed GraphQL and REST APIs that exposed vehicle information to internal services, mobile applications, and analytics platforms.
Real-Time Event Processing
Integrated streaming architectures capable of handling continuous telemetry updates and vehicle state changes.
Cloud-Native Platform
Delivered scalable services running on Kubernetes infrastructure with automated deployment and operational monitoring.
Operational Reliability
Provided production support and incident response for critical backend services powering connected vehicle experiences.
My Contributions
- Developed GraphQL APIs enabling access to vehicle telemetry and connected services data.
- Built backend microservices deployed on AWS Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Integrated vehicle sensor data pipelines and telemetry processing workflows.
- Designed and implemented CI/CD pipelines supporting Java, React, Angular, and Node.js applications.
- Automated infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and containerized deployments with Docker.
- Supported Kubernetes cluster operations and troubleshooting activities.
- Participated in on-call rotations and resolved production incidents affecting critical services.
- Collaborated with platform and analytics teams to enable predictive analytics and telemetry-driven insights.
- Improved deployment reliability and engineering productivity through automation initiatives.
