What I Built
Project Overview
Technology Day was an internal event platform developed for Emerson Electric's annual engineering and scientific paper presentation event. The goal was to modernize event participation, improve attendee engagement, and provide judges with a digital evaluation platform while replacing traditional paper-based processes.
Built as a native Android application, the platform delivered real-time event information, live schedules, presenter details, interactive quizzes, audience engagement features, and judging workflows. The application became the central hub for participants throughout the event, helping attendees stay informed and actively engaged.
As part of a small engineering team, I was responsible for designing and developing core application features, implementing real-time communication using Firebase, and creating gamification mechanisms that encouraged participation throughout the event.
Key Features
Live Event Agenda
Provided real-time access to event schedules, session information, presenter details, and venue information.
Gamification & Engagement
Introduced quizzes, leaderboards, and interactive challenges that encouraged attendees to participate actively during presentations and technical sessions.
